Board approves $24,925 for library expansion design

NH AUBURN — Auburn selectmen approve $24,925 contract for the $4.9 million library expansion project. Selectmen Keith Leclair and Tom Carroll considered the expenditure from the library capital reserve fund to authorize architectural firm SMP to continue refined design work on the Griffin Free Public Library expansion. Library Trustees Nancy Mayland, Elizabeth Michaud, and Cindy Berling presented a plan featuring approximately 5,000 square feet of new construction, renovations to the existing building, a museum space for New England books, and 26 parking spaces.
The board voted unanimously to approve the contract.
