Board Backs $2.85 Million in Capital Projects for Town Meeting

NH AUBURN — Auburn selectmen backed $2.85 million in capital projects for Town Meeting. The Board unanimously recommended a $2 million Griffin Mill Bridge replacement and an $850,000 fire truck purchase, funded from unassigned fund balance, while declining to recommend a library expansion bond. Finance Director Michael DiPietro reported the school budget increase of $1.5 million plus a new teacher contract would result in approximately $1.50 per thousand in tax impact.
Town Administrator Chris Sterndale announced the town has hired a Building Inspector and Code Enforcement Officer starting around January 26, with the town posting applications for a part-time Land Use Administrator position.
