Board of Selectmen approves fire department grant authorization.

NH AUBURN — Auburn selectmen authorize $500K fire truck grant, approve 2026 budget and $49.7K in encumbrances. Town Administrator Chris Sterndale reported that Fire Chief Michael Williams applied for the state grant to replace diesel fire trucks, with a vote expected at the March town meeting; the town will work out of fund balance pending approval. The board unanimously approved three lines of the FY 2026 budget and confirmed 2025 encumbrances for network security upgrades ($35,000), Severance School door replacement ($3,000), and landfill monitoring well replacement ($11,700).

Board Chair Keith Leclair noted another truck purchase is scheduled within a couple of years.
