Library Trustees advance foundation assessment, approve routine operations

Library Trustees · Meeting of May 11, 2026

NH AUBURN — Library Trustees move to assess significant foundation structural damage at the Griffin Free Public Library building. The board unanimously approved April meeting minutes and accepted the Treasurer's Report during the May 11 meeting, while authorizing Library Director Dan Szczesny to use a debit card from the Additional Funds account for immediate expenses. Chair Nancy Mayland was tasked with obtaining cost estimates from SMP.

The library faces potential temporary closure during repairs, prompting the board to postpone planned shed replacement.
