NH AUBURN — The Auburn Library Trustees reconsidered their expansion plan at a strategic April 27 session. The board explored alternative approaches including conversion of the existing building to a museum operating a few hours monthly after both SMP and BPS declined to support a proposed $14,000 assessment. Library Director Dan Szczesny was directed to obtain repair quotes for foundation masonry work and the children's room door.
The library's $100,000 capital reserve fund, approved by voters in 2023, has been partially expended for SMP costs.
