NH AUBURN — Auburn Parks Commission unanimously approved the 2027 operating budget of $177,974.50, with Mary Royer moving and Jennifer Strabone seconding. The budget funds senior trips ($11,000), family events ($18,200), senior dinners ($1,800), soccer programming ($1,900), and facility operations at Severance School Community Center, with $75,908 allocated for salaries. The commission unanimously approved a $11,600 recreation improvements budget moved by Carly Cohen.
Commission Chairman Zach Eaton proposed using an existing town computer to upgrade a camera system at Wayne Eddows rather than request new hardware. The commission discussed converting ice rinks to permanent pickleball courts and planning future field work, and determined to send a message to the Auburn Soccer Club Board addressing member concerns about registration processes.
