NH AUBURN — Auburn Selectmen chart course for smaller library expansion proposal next spring. Library Trustees Nancy Mayland, Elizabeth Michaud, and Cindy Berling presented a revised scope of approximately $5 million, down from a failed $7.1 million plan. The board expressed concerns about the cost of repairs to the existing 2,000-square-foot building, with one contractor quoting $14,000 for a comprehensive remodeling estimate, and directed the Trustees to return with detailed reduction plans for a spring warrant article.
The board also unanimously approved $113,000 in police spending from unanticipated revenues.
