NH AUBURN — Parks and Recreation Commission scheduled Tree Lighting for November 29 with event format changes. Rather than hiring a DJ, the commission will provide live music through its own sound system and has arranged for a Disney character to appear. The commission voted unanimously to reschedule its November meeting from November 3 to November 17 and cancel the December 1 meeting to avoid election day conflicts.
Commissioners reported Auburn Night and the Auburn Day Parade in October were well-received with consolidated setup and new food trucks working successfully. Budget meetings are scheduled for November 30 with the Board of Selectmen and December 17 with the Budget Committee.
